Ivan Ermenc
Ivan Ermenc was a light in this world. His sharp wit, incessant curiosity, and clever humor were his trademarks, but his kind and caring heart was the strong steady current flowing just below the surface. He was musically inclined, passionate about all things Japanese, was an excellent artist, and wasn’t afraid to get dirty and work hard or play hard — whenever the occasion called for it.
He worked to excel in the things that interested him and his dedication was rewarded. Ivan was unapologetically Ivan, and he accepted everyone for who they were and how they were, and he left a lasting impression in the lives he touched.
In the fall of 2022, eighteen-year-old Ivan was looking forward to his future, and was excited about wearing the new safety boots he’d just acquired for his new career. These weren’t just boots. They were his first significant purchase as a new adult, something he was incredibly proud to have done on his own.
He was making plans to establish himself, get an apartment, and move forward in life.
On November 2nd, 2022, the unthinkable happened: a tragic traffic accident changed everything. We can’t turn back this terrible tragedy and we can’t change what happened, but we can honor his dream by keeping it alive through helping others.
